Starting with leaf powder of Stevia-r, a liquid extract is prepared by a proprietary method, concentrated to which permitted preservatives are added, filtered, de-odorised and spray dried. The resulting powder is light brown in colour, readily soluble in water and is about 75 times sweeter than cane sugar with all the herbal properties of Stevia-r retained.
